Mise en scene

Still image - Transporter 2

In this image we can see that both the characters are at gun point. It is highly possible that they both hate each other due to their aggressive facial expressions as well as their guns. Jason Statham (left) is standing with one gun in his hand as opposed to Kate Nauta who stands with two. This suggests that the man in the suit is a 'bad-ass' character who doesn't need as much power as his enemies to come out of a fight alive and will square up to a challenge. The suit infers he takes his job seriously and is dapper. They seem the be in a luxurious house because of the decoration and vases in the background. Also, the vibrant colours could suggest this. The audience would expect this because they understand the type of people they are fighting but from this image the audience could infer that the villain has a partner in crime with money. The mood in the scene could be an intense one because of the guns.

22 Jump Street

This is a scene from 22 Jump Street where they are at the docks observing and interacting with the drug dealers. The dock is used as the setting for this illegal activity because the authority are unlikely going to catch them in the act. Despite this, the undercover cops are investigating their movements in this area. Their costumes don't relate to what the gang are wearing and this could suggest to the audience that they are going to blow their cover. Therefore, the audience are anticipating for them to get caught. The gangs facial expression sets the mood because they looks serious about their work and don't appreciate the two 'amigos' interrupting them. Channing Tatum looks very nervous when its his turn to interact with the gang because looks like he is stuttering and he begins to sway.

The Dark Knight Rises

This is a scene from The Dark Knight Rises where Batman fights the villain of this movie but this time the police try to help him by fighting Bane's helpers. They are fighting in the city of Gotham in front of a court which further suggests Bane doesn't care about the authority. The area seems chaotic because of all the people fighting and this scene looks epic because of the police trying to fight Bane and Bane's men trying to stop Batman. The costumes that Batman and Bane are different from everybody else's clothing so the audience are able to spot them out of the crowd. The mood that the audience would be in is pumped and anxious on whether Batman will be able to defeat his opponent or lose his life.

Friday after next

This scene is from Friday after next where Ice Cube and Mike Epps are doing the security job and come against women who look to be singing songs. The typical stereotype of elderly black women dressed smartly could be that they are singing songs from Church. This shouldn't be a problem, but Mike Epps (Day - Day) facial expressions suggest he finds their songs irritating. The audience could imply this because he mocks their singing and blows his whistle to stop them. They are working in a shopping area which looks a little deserted.
